This video was quite the adventure to make. I had no idea what I was getting myself into! We were trekked out into the middle of nowhere Vernonia, somewhere I had never been before. Ethix was a kick in the pants, and so high energy. He was the driving force behind getting the video made. We met by chance, and he was all in from the word “go”. Word was unpredictable and hilarious. I don’t know how much weed he ended up smoking that day, but he somehow made it through the one day shoot schedule with no problems. Not gonna lie, I was impressed. Of course, I went on to work with Mitch on his solo video, which was also cool. It was a blast, and I have some great memories from this one.

This video was a lot of fun to make. Mitch was a very chill guy, a brand new dad at the time. He was very passionate about the project, and wanted to film in the neighborhood where he grew up. Fun fact: Mitch’s friend ended up driving my car for me so I could lay on my stomach and hang out the back of my hatchback with the steadicam and get the slow motion shots. Ha! It was so worth it.

Hannah was the first graduate applicant video I filmed. The head of the department asked if I would be able to do it, since I was filming their live shows, and I said “Of course!” I was not prepared for how monstrously amazing her voice would be in a smaller, more intimate space. I definitely cried. It was a wonderful experience.

I got to see Grace perform on the PSU stage before I filmed her application video. I was always impressed by her acting skills, as well as her vocal range. I’ve stayed Facebook friends with her, and she was accepted into her graduate program of choice, has had a successful performing career since completing the program, and married the love of her life!
